Privacy Policy
My Pet Magazine collects very little, and everything it collects is listed here in plain language: what, why, who else sees it, and how to make it go away.
Effective date: October 14, 2026My Pet Magazine is published by the My Pet Magazine editorial team. When this policy says "we," it means that team.
What we collect
You can use the entire site — rankings, comparisons, the food finder quiz, calculators, guides and articles — without telling us anything about yourself. There are no accounts and no logins. The only time we ask for personal information is when you sign up for our email newsletter.

We never ask for your name, phone number, mailing address or payment details.
Food finder quiz. Your answers are about your pet (breed, life stage, spayed/neutered, indoor or outdoor, weight). They are kept only in your browser tab while you answer, and then placed in the address of the results page so the ranking can be calculated. Because they are part of the page address, our analytics tools see them as part of the page you visited. They are not linked to your email.
Pet caricature tool.If you upload a photo of your pet, it is sent to Google's Gemini AI service, through a Cloudflare server we run, to generate the caricature. We do not store your photo on our servers. The finished caricature is saved only in your own browser, so you can use it on a poster, and stays there until you clear your browser's site data. We currently use Google's free Gemini API tier to create caricatures, so Google may use the photo you upload and the generated image to improve its products, and human reviewers may read them (see Google's Gemini API terms). Please do not upload photos that show people.
Pet poster tool.The details you type for a poster (your pet's name, breed, personality and so on) are sent to our server only to draw the image, which is returned to you right away. We don't keep them.
AI crawlers.We count visits from AI crawlers (such as GPTBot or ClaudeBot) by the robot's name and the page it visited. This involves no information about people.
Technical data.Like every website, our hosting provider receives your IP address and browser information in order to deliver pages to you. We use your IP address briefly, in memory, to block abuse of our forms (rate limiting); we don't keep it in any database.
Cookies and similar technologies
We don't set advertising cookies ourselves. Here is everything the site stores in your browser:

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site keeps working without them.
When you click a "Buy on Amazon" link, you leave our site. Amazon may then place and read its own cookies on your browser, under Amazon's privacy notice.
Who else processes your information
We do not sell, rent or trade your email address or any other personal information. These companies process data on our behalf, only to run the site:
- Brevo(France) stores the newsletter list and sends our emails. Your email is stored on Brevo's servers in the European Union (France, Germany and Belgium).
- Google Analytics (Google LLC) measures site traffic.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) records how pages are used, to help us fix layout and usability problems.
- Google Gemini API (Google LLC) generates pet caricatures from the photos you choose to upload.
- Cloudflare runs the server that passes your pet photo to Gemini.
- Vercel hosts the website.
- Amazon.com — we link to products on Amazon. We may earn a commission from purchases made through links on this site.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Your privacy rights
Wherever you live in the U.S., you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we have about you;
- give you a copy of it;
- correct it;
- delete it.
To make a request, email contato@revistapet.com.brfrom the address you subscribed with and tell us what you want. We'll answer within 15 days. Deleting removes your record from our email list completely. We won't treat you differently for using any of these rights.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA). In the past 12 months we collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (email address), internet or other electronic network activity (usage data and usage recordings) and approximate geolocation derived from IP address. We collected them for the purposes described above. We do not sell personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information.
Unsubscribing (CAN-SPAM)
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click is enough — no reply, reason or login needed. You can also email contato@revistapet.com.br and ask to be removed.
Unsubscribing is different from deleting: when you unsubscribe, we keep your address on a "do not email" list so we never write to you again by mistake. If you'd rather we erase it completely, ask for deletion.
Double opt-in.After you submit the form, we send you a confirmation email. You only join the list if you click the button in that email. Until you do, you won't get any newsletter — this protects people whose address was typed in by someone else.
Children's privacy (COPPA)
My Pet Magazine is a general-audience site for adult pet owners. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up for our newsletter, email us and we will delete the address.
How long we keep information
- Newsletter: for as long as you are subscribed. Sign-up requests that are never confirmed do not become subscriptions. After you unsubscribe, we keep only the minimum record that your address should not be contacted.
- Analytics: event-level data is kept for 2 months; user-level identifiers are kept for up to 14 months. Aggregated reports do not contain personal data.
- Usage recordings: Microsoft Clarity keeps recordings for 30 days. Aggregated click and heatmap data is kept for up to 9 months.
- Pet photos: not stored by us.
Changes to this policy
When what the site collects changes, this page changes with it, and the effective date at the top is updated.
